    request an application. Once we receive your application one of our staffing specialists will contact you to discuss your placement options.

Q: “Can I work part-time?”

A: Yes, Ultrasound Temps can help you create your ideal work schedule, whether you are looking for occasional temp work or a career as a full-time traveling professional.  There are short-term, long-term, temp-to-perm, and permanent assignments available in facilities that range from major teaching universities to community hospitals to private imaging centers, we will help find the right work environment for you.  

Q: “Do I have to make quarterly estimated tax payments?”

A: No, you are not a contractor with Ultrasound Temps.  As an employee of Ultrasound Temps we take care of employment expenses-FICA, Work’s Comp, Unemployment Insurance and professional liability insurance.

Q: “Do I have to travel far in order to work with Ultrasound Temps?”

A: No, Ultrasound Temps has been supplying sonographers to short-term, long-term, temp-to-perm, and permanent assignments in the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland Metro areas for almost 20 years. If you choose to want to travel, there are nationwide travel opportunities available coast to coast.

Q: “Ultrasound Temps has assigned me to a hospital that I really like. Can I apply for a job with them?”

A: Yes, if there is a job opening Ultrasound Temps can permanently place you there at no charge to you. Temp to Perm jobs are common, Ultrasound Temps will negotiate
the hiring.

Q: How do I get paid?”

A: Ultrasound Temps pays weekly. Simply have an authorized individual at your temp site signoff on your timecard at the end of the assignment/week. Your timecard will be processed within the week, at which time your check will be mailed to you or direct-deposited into your account.

Q: “How do I fill out my timecard if I have worked at two different sites in the same week?”

A: Simply use two different timecards. Have each account sign off on the respective timecard.

Q: “Ultrasound Temps has assigned me to a hospital that is moderately far outside the beltway. Does Ultrasound Temps reimburse for the mileage?”

A: Yes, in most cases assignments that are a significant distance form the beltway will offer reimbursement for mileage.

Q: “I have agreed to take a travel assignment outside my home area, how will I be accommodated for travel, living expenses and incidentals?”

A: Ultrasound Temps will make arrangements for your travel, living accommodations, and daily per diems, please ask a staffing specialist for more details.
